MIAMI – Bam Adebayo received recognition from the NBA on Friday, although it may not be at the level that he wanted.

Adebayo has made it clear that he wants to win NBA Defensive Player of the Year.

Instead, he was named to the NBA’s All-Defensive Second Team on Friday night.

Adebayo had 152 points and missed out on the First Team by just one point.

It’s the third time Adebayo has been recognized with All-Defensive honors.

This marks the 17th time that a member of the Heat has been named to an All-Defensive Team.

Adebayo finished fourth in Defensive Player of the Year voting.
