Notre Dame, Alabama also among 'richest' teams

Wall Street Journal reported on worth of college football teams on Monday

MIAMI – Not only do they have the best records, but Notre Dame and Alabama are also two of the richest college football teams in the land.

The Wall Street Journal reported how much each college football franchise is worth on Monday.

The Journal said the Fighting Irish was valued at just more than $597 million. That ranks 4th in the country.

The Crimson Tide were valued at $474 million. That ranks 8th in the country.

The University of Texas topped the list with a valuation of $761 million.

The University of Florida ranked 3rd on the list with a valuation of $600 million.

Florida State University was 33rd on the list with a valuation of $159 million, immediately followed by the University of Miami at $157 million.
