MMA fighter fatally shot at Boca Raton home

Victim identified as 25-year-old Aaron Rajman

BOCA RATON, Fla. – A South Florida mixed martial arts fighter was killed Monday night in a shooting at his Boca Raton home, authorities said.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called at about 10:30 p.m. to the home in the 22700 block of 65th Terrace.

Investigators said a man, identified as Aaron Rajman, 25, was shot during an altercation at the home.

Deputies said that a group of men entered the home and an altercation ensued.

"I chalked it off as fireworks because everybody's shooting stuff all the time here," one woman, who lives in the area, said.

The identities of the intruders are unknown.

A man who identified himself to WPBF as a friend of Rajman's said the fighter was "deeply involved in his faith and the local Jewish community."

He declined to speculate on any possible motives for the shooting.

Rajman just celebrated his 25th birthday last week on June 27.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
