Dolphins bring back throwback uniforms for upcoming season

Team open about permanent change back to classic logo

DAVIE, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins will wear their 1966 throwback uniforms, which are immensely popular with their fan base, twice during the 2017 season.

Team president and CEO Tom Garfinkel made the announcement while speaking to the media during organized team activities Wednesday at 'Fins camp in Davie.

The throwbacks have been a big hit since the team reintroduced them back in 2015.

And Garfinkel said the team remains open-minded about bringing back the old look and logo permanently, however the plan for now is to stick with their current uniform and logo.

The 'Fins have opted to scrap the all-orange neon look they wore during last year's color-rush game, instead going with an all-white jersey for the Thursday night color-rush game against the Ravens on October 26th.

As for actual OTA's news from camp on Wednesday - new defensive coordinator Matt Burke raved about the non-stop motor and work ethic that first-round pick Charles Harris has displayed during off-season workouts.

It also appears Bobby McCain is the leader to win the nickel cornerback job.
