Twitter to test expanding to 280-character limit on posts

SAN FRANCISCO – You may soon be able to double your thoughts when using Twitter as the social media company announced it is testing the expansion of posts to 280-characters.

USA Today reports Twitter will double the normal 140-character limit for a select group that will be chosen at random.

Twitter has struggled recently with the amount of users stalled, while other services such as Instagram and Snapchat become more commonly used among advertisers and people in general.
