Lines materialize just to enter Pandora - The World of Avatar

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – It may actually be quicker to travel to the fictional world of Pandora than to wait in line to ride the new attractions at Disney's new Avatar-themed land.

The long-awaited Pandora - The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park opened Friday, and if the massively long waits are any indication, the Mouse House may have a giant hit on their hands.

The question is, how long are you willing to wait to enjoy the rides? In fact, how long are you willing to wait just to enter the expansion area?

The Orlando Sentinel reports the land was filled to capacity by 7 a.m. Friday. Lines for the park's new rides extended past 4 hours and there was a 6 hour wait to actually visit the land. Meaning you had to wait in a line to wait in a line.

But Tuesday afternoon, after the holiday crowds had already headed home, there was still a 4-hour wait to ride Flight of Passage, an attraction that simulates flying on the back of a banshee.

However, the waits were worst out West where guests braved 5 hour wait times to ride Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: Breakout! at Disney's California Adventure
