The Army has started loading up some of the tanks that will take to the streets of the nation’s capital during the 250th anniversary celebration of the service next month.

An astronaut who missed out on the first all-female spacewalk is getting her chance six years later.

The Russian space agency says one of its cosmonauts has broken the world record for the most time spent in space.

The first woman and next man on the moon will come from this elite group. The space agency is aiming for a moon landing by 2024, although the chances of that happening are growing increasingly dim. The 2014 Nobel Peace Prize winner, now 22, posted images on Twitter of her celebration early Friday upon completing a degree in philosophy, politics and economics. Hard to express my joy and gratitude right now as I completed my Philosophy, Politics and Economics degree at Oxford, she tweeted. She went back to school as soon as she could but kept campaigning for the right to an education for others. Her Twitter feed was flooded with expressions of goodwill, including one from NASA astronaut Anne McClain, who studied in England.

NASA, Astronaut Michael Edward Fossum [Public domain](CNN) - After the first all-female spacewalk was scrapped in March, NASA has now scheduled another attempt with astronauts Christina Koch and Jessica Meir for October 21. The announcement was made Friday during a briefing by the agency previewing 10 upcoming spacewalks by astronauts on the International Space Station. For the intended spacewalk in March, Koch was going to be paired with astronaut Anne McClain, who has since returned to Earth. The tweet also showed an image of pairings for the upcoming spacewalks. In addition to her first spacewalk with Koch, she will also conduct a spacewalk with European Space Agency astronaut Luca Parmitano.

McClain's lawyer, Rusty Hardin, told the Times that "she strenuously denies that she did anything improper" and "is totally cooperating." Worden told the paper that the FTC has not responded to the identity theft allegation, and that investigators including Michael Mataya, a criminal case specialist, were assessing the complaint to the inspector general. I knew it was not OK," Worden told the Times. A few months later, McClain went to space, and Worden then discovered the bank account access, the paper reported.
