MIAMI – A group of local Black religious leaders, including a Haitian American, met on Wednesday in Miami-Dade County to promote the COVID-19 vaccine campaign. Carl Johnson, of 93rd Street Community Baptist Church, spoke about his support of the COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday in Miami-Dade. The meeting also included Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, Miami-Dade commissioners, and other community leaders. Two of the pastors received their first dose of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine. Ron DeSantis expanded COVID-19 vaccine eligibility in Florida to people who are 40 years old or older.
