But officials said the parents of more than 20,000 students have opted for the change. Wednesday’s official attendance reported an increase of 21,303 students who switched from a virtual at-home education to a schoolhouse classroom this semester. Broward Superintendent Robert Runcie said on Monday the number of parents who are sending their children to public schoolhouses increased, so some schools could reach a 60% capacity.

But Thailand's top court Thursday upheld the death penalty, ruling that forensic evidence against the convicted men was "clear, credible, and detailed." An appeals court upheld the guilty verdict in 2017. Andy Hall, international affairs adviser to the official legal defense team, said that while he respected the decision of the court, the death penalty sentence against the two should "be reversed and quashed." In June last year Thailand lifted a de facto moratorium on the use of the death penalty, executing a man by lethal injection in the country's first execution since August 2009, rights groups said.

PINECREST, Fla. - A security guard spoke to Local 10 News reporter Ian Margol on Tuesday, two weeks after he said he was struck by a hit-and-run driver. He said the driver was unhappy when he wasn't allowed to pull in where he wanted to and drove through the security guard instead. Miller, who is a military veteran, now works as a security guard at the Trader Joe's across from downtown Dadeland. Surveillance video shows Miller holding on to the hood of the car, being carried across the parking lot. Police are now searching for the person behind the wheel and Miller said hes just trying to go day by day.
