TORONTO, ONT Jordan Eberle scored twice, including the go-ahead goal, and the New York Islanders rallied to a 4-2 win over the Florida Panthers and take a 2-0 lead in their best-of-five NHL preliminary round playoff series on Tuesday. The Islanders particularly took advantage of the Panthers' undisciplined play by scoring twice on seven power-play chances. Weve got to play with some composure in those pivotal moments, said Panthers first-year coach and three-time Stanley Cup champion Joel Quenneville. Florida is making its first playoff appearance since 2016, when the Panthers were eliminated by the Islanders in six games. Set up in the left circle, Eberle patiently waited for defenseman Brady Keeper to go down and attempt to block the shot.

Kakko gave the Rangers a 4-3 lead when he converted on the man advantage at 7:31 of the second period. First, Barkov tied the game when his wrist shot zipped past Lundqvist at 18:13. The Panthers captain made a nifty deke as Jesper Fast overskated the play, allowing Barkov to release the wrist shot.

Florida Panthers' Anthony Greco, left, and Dominic Toninato celebrate after Greco scored against the Dallas Stars on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019. CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - We're not even a quarter into the Florida Panthers 2019-20 schedule, but the team's depth continues to be tested. In the meantime, Panthers general manager Dale Tallon called up forward Dominic Toninato from Florida's AHL affiliate in Springfield. A big-bodied, two-way center, Toninato slid into Acciari's spot on the fourth line between Dryden Hunt and Colton Sceviour during Wednesday's practice. When asked what he hopes to bring to the Panthers, Toninato said he considers himself a "200-foot, reliable centerman."
