MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – The Miami City Ballet is celebrating its 35th anniversary by temporarily returning to its original location on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach. The Miami City Ballet x Lincoln Road popup collaboration has already begun and will continue to run weekdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. through Sept. 10. Due to social distancing guidelines, no more than six dancers will occupy the retail space at 744 Lincoln Road at Meridian Avenue at a given time. Man seen smearing blood on Miami Beach businesses
MIAMI BEACH, Fla. Businesses along Alton Road arrived Tuesday to find blood smeared on many storefronts between Lincoln Road and 17th Street. Surveillance video obtained by Local 10 News from Ace Hardware shows a man who appeared to have a cut on his arm or hand overnight. Hes seen walking up to the front of a business and rubbing his blood on the glass window before moving on to the next storefront. The current list of rules is long including sanitizer at a stores entrance, distancing and directional markers once inside and signs instructing people to wear masks. Miami Beach residents take issue with proposed pump station
MIAMI BEACH, Fla. A new water pump is set to go up near busy Lincoln Road to help ease some of the flooding concerns that Miami Beach endures during heavy rains and high tide. Roy Coley, Miami Beach Public Works director, said the project will dwarf existing pump stations throughout West Avenue. The closer we can locate the pump station to where were going to discharge the water at the bay, the more efficient it is, Coley said. Then in April, a letter to the City Commission advised that Lincoln Road was still the preferred location. Miami Beach Commissioner Mark Samuelian said more discussion was needed before investing so much time and money planning for a location that he believes is not ideal.

Man, 18, arrested in death of father of 3 in South Beach
MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Officers arrested an 18-year-old man on Wednesday in Miami Beach to face charges in the death of 36-year-old Joseph Chhuong, better known in South Beach as “Journey” for his love of travel. The deadly brawl took place just before 5 a.m. on Thursday on the corner of Collins Ave and Lincoln Road. The video shows punches being thrown before a woman falls to the ground. Seconds later a man wearing all black bolts across the street and appears to knock the woman over. Miami Beach construction accident leaves wet concrete on vehicles
MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - Southbound lanes of Alton Road were shut down for several hours Wednesday afternoon after a construction accident left wet concrete on several vehicles, Miami Beach police confirmed. According to Miami Beach police spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez, Alton Road was shut down from Lincoln Road to 16th Street after the incident occurred just before 1 p.m. Authorities said concrete was being used at a construction site when it spilled over to a Wells Fargo Bank parking lot. Video taken at the scene shows wet concrete covering several vehicles. Authorities have issued a stop order to the construction company involved in the accident, until an investigation into the incident is complete.
