A 20-year-old captive orca named Nakai died on Thursday night in California while veterinarians were treating an infection, SeaWorld announced on Friday.

Miami-Dade County announced that with the Miami Seaquarium under new ownership, third party veterinarians will be allowed onto the property to examine the health of the famed Orca.
