NEW YORK – If there's one thing clear after White House press secretary Jen Psaki's first session with reporters on Wednesday, it's that she's determined to minimize drama in the briefing room. The 42-year-old Psaki (pronounced SOCK-eee) was a State Department spokesperson and White House communications director in former President Barack Obama's administration. Psaki showed a bone-dry wit when one reporter asked if Biden planned to keep the new color scheme that Trump ordered for Air Force One. CNN's chief White House correspondent, Kaitlan Collins, pointed to the lack of attacks on reporters coming from the podium. “This is the way it should have been for four years with President Trump.

(Newsmax via AP)NEW YORK – Now that his largely invisible network has suddenly been flooded by fans of President Donald Trump, Newsmax television personality Grant Stinchfield is puffing out his chest. “We’ve really cornered Fox from the right,” said Chris Ruddy, Newsmax founder and friend of Trump. Fox’s prime-time viewership during the two weeks after the election was up 50 percent over last year. For Newsmax, a big question is whether its programming is compelling enough to hold viewers who are clearly sampling. Besides Kelly, former Trump press secretary Sean Spicer is Newsmax’s best-known personality.

CHICAGO President Donald Trump has always been a big numbers guy. )The presidents premature claim to economic victory reflects an artful relationship with numbers that Trump has long displayed. Left unsaid by the president was that African American unemployment inched up to 16.8% last month, the highest its been in more than a decade. Asian American workers' unemployment rate also rose from 14.5% to 15%. Trump scoffed at an African American reporter who noted the disconnect between Trumps comments and what minority workers are enduring.

Federal officers stand outside the Department of Justice as Attorney General William Barr speaks during a virtual press conference inside the building Thursday, June 4, 2020, in Washington. But he vowed that the Justice Department would do its part to investigate and prosecute civil rights crimes. I believe that police chiefs and law enforcement officials and leaders around the country are committed to ensuring that racism plays no part in law enforcement, and that everyone receives equal protection of the laws, Barr said. President Donald Trump has called Floyds killing a terrible, terrible thing that happened and called on the Justice Department to expedite its investigation of his death. Federal agents have made 51 riot-related arrests, Barr said, and 114 law enforcement officers have been injured in protests in Washington.

(AP Photo/Patrick Semansky, FIle)NEW YORK To anyone who's watched, there's more that binds Yamiche Alcindor, Kaitlan Collins and Weijia Jiang than an impromptu display of teamwork at a recent White House news conference. Each reporter has a knack for getting under President Donald Trump's skin and an equal ability not to let it knock them off stride. Trump has reacted to questions by Alcindor, Collins and Jiang by calling them nasty or racist, and effectively telling the journalists to pipe down. This president doesn't live by those rules.Jiang, Collins and Alcindor aren't the only reporters to tangle with Trump.

CNN image(CNN) - Tom Bergeron isn't the only person who's unhappy about the casting of Sean Spicer on "Dancing With the Stars." Some staffers at ABC News are "up in arms," as one source put it, over the decision by ABC's entertainment division. The network is casting the former White House press secretary, best known for his obfuscation on behalf of President Trump, for what's supposed to be a delightful dance-off. But for "GMA" to lean into it -- by setting up a faux White House podium for his intro on Wednesday -- is problematic. Responding to Bergeron's statement, Spicer told CNN Business, "I think Tom has been a great host.
