Man gets 5+ years in prison for harassing Parkland victims
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A California man who is on the autism spectrum was sentenced Monday to more than five years in prison for cyberstalking families of Parkland, Florida, school shooting victims. Fleury was convicted by a jury in October of three counts of cyberstalking and one count of transmitting a kidnapping threat. On Fleury's electronic devices, authorities also found thousands of saved images of Bundy, images of the targeted victims and screenshots of the messages that he had sent the victims. Meanwhile, Cruz, 21, faces the death penalty if convicted in the Parkland shooting. His lawyers have said he would plead guilty in exchange for a life prison sentence, but prosecutors have rejected the offer.

Brandon Fleury used Instagram to harass the families of students killed in the massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - A California man has been convicted of using Instagram to harass the families of students killed in a mass shooting at a South Florida high school. Court records show that Brandon Fleury was found guilty in Fort Lauderdale federal court Tuesday of cyberstalking and transmitting a kidnap threat. The 22-year-old Santa Ana, California, man faces up to 20 years in prison at his Dec. 2 sentencing. Prosecutors say Fleury used 13 different Instagram accounts to target families and friends of the 17 people killed last year at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.
FBI needs help identifying victims of America's most prolific serial killer
(CNN) - Samuel Little, 79, confessed to strangling 93 victims between 1970 and 2005 last year -- triple the number of victims that Ted Bundy confessed to killing. Now, the FBI is asking the public to help identify more victims of the man they say is America's most prolific serial killer. FBI crime analysts believe all of Little's 93 confessions are credible, but so far they've only been able to verify 50 of them. Before FBI agents knew about his connection to these dozens of murders, Little was already imprisoned for beating and strangling three women. Texas Ranger James Holland and two FBI crime analysts traveled to California to interview Little over the course of May 2018.

Defense attorneys say Broward County State Attorney Michael Satz won't reconsider the death penalty for Nikolas Cruz, calling him "evil; worse than Ted Bundy." FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Defense attorneys for Nikolas Cruz want to remove Broward County State Attorney Michael Satz for refusing to reconsider the death penalty and because they claim he called the Parkland school shooter "evil; worse than Ted Bundy." The motion goes on to explain that Satz said he believes Cruz is "evil; worse than Ted Bundy." Bundy was a serial killer who was executed in Florida for the murder of Kimberly Leach, a 12-year-old Lake City girl. Cruz killed 17 people during the Valentine's Day 2018 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.
