McGowan claims in her suit that Weinstein offered her $1 million to not go public with her rape allegation and to drop the publication of her book. The complaint also alleges that Weinstein enlisted attorney Jose Baez as part of his alleged smear campaign against her. McGowan's suit concludes that she "has suffered tremendously from Defendants' conspiracy and lies."
