MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A tractor-trailer spilled a load of onions onto a South Florida highway after it overturned early Monday morning.
The tractor-trailer was hauling onions when it overturned on the Palmetto Expressway, blocking southbound lanes onto Florida's Turnpike.

One person was taken to a hospital.
Traffic was impacted throughout the morning and into the afternoon while authorities worked to clear the scene.
