U.S. 441 southbound lanes shut down in Broward County after bicyclist struck by car

COCONUT CREEK, Fla. – Southbound lanes of U.S. Route 441 were shut down by authorities Tuesday after a bicyclist was struck by a car.

Margate-Coconut Creek Fire Rescue Capt. Matthew Whiteside said southbound lanes of Coconut Creek Parkway were also closed after the crash at the intersection.

The cyclist was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
