COCONUT CREEK, Fla. – The driver of a pickup was not hurt Thursday after hitting standing water on a roadway, the Margate-Coconut Creek Fire Department said.
The crash took place at about 4 p.m. when the driver was heading north on Lyons Road, just south of Atlantic Boulevard.

The driver of the Ford F-150 hit standing water from the recent heavy rains in the area, which caused the vehicle to hydroplane, firefighters said.
The driver then lost control and the truck rolled over several times.
The driver owas wearing his seat belt and was not injured, firefighters said.
No other vehicles were involved.
The crash did impact traffic on northbound Lyons Road near the Florida’s Turnpike overpass.
