BOCA RATON, Fla. – All southbound lanes of Florida's Turnpike were closed Tuesday morning between Glades Road and the Sawgrass Expressway because of a crash.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a maintenance truck was traveling north shortly before 4:30 a.m. when it blew a tire, crashed into the concrete barrier wall and crashed into another vehicle traveling in the southbound lanes.
Two other southbound vehicles were struck by debris.
A 55-gallon drum of oil spilled onto the highway.
Southbound traffic was diverted onto Glades Road in Boca Raton.
All lanes of traffic were reopened by 8 a.m.
