Concourse G closed at Fort Lauderdale airport because of flooding

Airport reports water leak

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A concourse at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is closed because of flooding.

Concourse G is temporarily closed, the airport said Tuesday on Twitter.

An earlier tweet said a water leak forced the closure of security checkpoints in Terminal 4 at concourses G and H.

The concourse is home to Spirit Airlines. Airport officials tweeted later in the day that Concourse H is open, but the Terminal 4 checkpoint remains closed.

Travelers are asked to use the checkpoint in Terminal 3 in Concourse F and the connector from Terminal 3 to Terminal 4.

Travelers impacted by the closure were advised to check the status of their flights before going to the airport.
