MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A flash flood warning was issued Monday for parts of Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
The warning was in effect until 9 p.m. in northeastern Miami-Dade and southeastern Broward.
By 6:45 p.m., Doppler radar and automated rain gauges had reported 4 to 6 inches of rainfall from thunderstorms in the vicinity of North Perry Airport, with numerous road closures also reported.
Some locations expected to experience flooding included Pembroke Pines, Hollywood, Miramar, Davie and Miami Gardens. Drivers were urged to be cautious as some roadways may become impassable.
The severe weather seemed to be a non-issue by 11 p.m. or so. Watch the video, above, for an updated report.
