BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for North Central Broward County until 5:15 p.m. Saturday.
At about 4:46 p.m. a thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near I-75 and U.S. 27, about 9 miles west of Sunrise, moving west at 35 mph.

Those in the area are urged to take cover and move away from any windows. People should also move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
Tornado warnings are expected to be issued throughout South Florida as Hurricane Irma passes through the area.
