Verizon, AT&T, Sprint waive overage charges in Florida

MIAMI – Cell providers AT&T, Sprint and Verizon are waiving overage charges for all Florida residents during Hurricane Irma.

Charges will be waived for calls, texts, and data through at least Monday, Sept. 11.

Verizon says customers may still receive data overage charges on their bill, but will cover them on the next bill. Prepaid customers will receive an extra 3 GB of data.

AT&T will issue automatic credits. 

Sprint has also waived the overage charges for Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile customers
