Miami International Airport reports some water damage after Hurricane Irma

Minor damage reported at MIA's passenger waiting area


MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – Areas of Miami International Airport suffered water damage during the passing of Hurricane Irma Sunday, according to an airport's spokesperson. 

A passengers' resting area was flooded after a leaky roof collapsed. There was debris on chairs and the carpet was damaged. 

Karla Cobreiro, the airport's public relations' officer, released three photos showing the damage Monday.
