South Florida temperatures dip into 50s

Temperatures 12 to 16 degrees cooler than Sunday morning

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – South Florida residents were waking up Monday morning to temperatures in the 50s in some areas.

A cold front brought cooler-than-normal temperatures to the region overnight.

Temperatures were 12 to 16 degrees cooler than Sunday's morning lows.

"We're expecting our wind speeds anywhere between 10-15 mph," Local 10 News meteorologist Julie Durda said.

Temperatures were expected to remain in the 50s until mid-morning.

"You'll need that sweater or jacket, at least until 10 a.m.," Durda said.

It will be "a tad bit warmer" for Halloween, "but nothing to be scared of," Durda said.
