Scattered storms this weekend
Tropical moisture combined with daytime heating will trigger scattered showers & storms today and tomorrow so keep an eye to the sky and remember "when thunder roars, go indoors"! Drier air will move in by Sunday afternoon and reduce the storm coverage by early next week. TD#3 has been upgraded to Tropical Storm Chantal with top winds of 40 mph. Landfall expected in South Carolina later tonight with little additional strengthening expected. Everything else is quiet in the tropics. - John Gerard
