Welcome back to school to all the kids in South Florida! Lows on Thursday morning are slightly cooler thanks to Wednesday afternoon’s storms, with temperatures in the 70s and heat indices already in the 80s.

High temperatures will be in the low 90s, but heat indices will reach into the triple digits, sparking a heat advisory from noon until 7 p.m.

Lighter winds will help keep storm chances slightly closer to inland Broward and Miami-Dade, mainly just west of the Turnpike.

So, grab your rain gear. You may need it later today!
