Healthy grilling for a cause in Pompano Beach Saturday
Miami Dolphins legends compete in the kitchen
POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – The Broward Health Gridiron Grill-Off Food, Wine & Tailgate Festival will be held Saturday.
It will be at the Pompano Beach Amphitheater, 1806 NE 6th St. Former Miami Dolphins linebacker John Offerdahl hosts the event, which pairs NFL legends and chefs from South Florida for an annual grilling competition.
Offerdahl has a mobile phone app named Grilloff for guests to vote for their favorite recipe. There will be fun games at the Cornhole Stadium to compete with retired athletes. Tickets are $10 for three.
Other exhibits: The Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey Tailgate Challenge, Guy Harvey's Sustainable Seafood Village and Chef Allen Susser's VIP Culinary Exhibition.
