Starting Thursday, January 5, the Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces department and Rickenbacker Causeway Park Operations will premiere the new “Thursday Night Food Truck Round-Up.” Guests will enjoy a wide variety of culinary treats served up by popular gourmet food truck vendors, along with picturesque views of Biscayne Bay.
Note: The event will be held every Thursday (weather permitting), with the exception of these block out dates: Feb. 16 (Progressive Miami International Boat Show and Strictly Sail) and March 23 & 30 (Miami Open Tennis Tournament).

Plus, monster kites, including a 100-foot squid, a 30-foot dragon, a 30-foot scuba man, a 30-foot “Nemo” fish, among others. There will also be food and refreshments for purchase and a live concert.

8th Annual ANF Group Tour de Broward

This event will feature 50 and 100K bicycle rides, a 5K timed run, 3K walk, and the “Power of Play Kid Zone,” a sports-themed, fun area for children 13 or younger.
The 2016 event broke all previous records, raising more than $500K and positively impacting many services provided to thousands of children who require outpatient visits, surgery and other medical services at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. Organizers are hoping for another successful year in 2017, given the event dollars are earmarked for the expansion of pediatric programs and services.
