Deerfield Beach boy, 11, stays involved with community by running lemonade stand

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – An 11-year-old boy is running a lemonade stand in Deerfield Beach in an effort to stay involved with his community.

Amare Genias has been manning the stand every weekend for three years, keeping the old-school concept alive.

Amare says he loves meeting new people.

He also enjoys introducing them to all the different flavors of lemonade he creates, including blueberry and watermelon.

He sells each glass for just $1.
