Funeral for I-95 crash victims to be held Saturday

Funeral to be held at First Baptist Church in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. ā€“ The funeral for four people who died when their car crashed and plunged into a lake off of I-95 in Deerfield Beach will be held on Saturday.

The funeral for Sandalie Jean-Baptiste, 20; Guivens Daverman, 16; Nadege Theodore, 37; and, her daughter Lyn, 15, will be held at First Baptist Church, located at 301 E. Broward Boulevard, at 11 a.m.

The four were returning from the Town Center at Boca Raton when their Lexus sports utility vehicle was involved in a three-car crash, sending their SUV into a lake.

Divers immediately recovered Jean-Baptiste, Daverman, and Nadege Theodore. Lyn Theodore's body was found Tuesday morning.

Jean-Baptiste died Sunday at Broward Health North.

A vigil was also held Sunday for Lyn Theodore and Daverman, who were sophomores at Blanche Ely High School.

A viewing for the four will be held at the church from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday.
