Couple tied up during home invasion robbery in Miami
Man tied up, hit with baseball bat on the head
MIAMI – Police are searching for three men who allegedly tied up a couple and robbed their home in Miami.
The incident happened Wednesday near Southwest 27th Street and 63rd Avenue.
Hillary Portorreal, 25, left the home with her 3-month-old baby to get food but shortly after they left, officials said two suspects entered the home through the unlocked front door.
Daniel Puron, 26, who lives at the home, was then confronted by the suspects, tied up and struck on the back of the head with a baseball bat. Police said the suspects then demanded property.
As the suspects ransacked the home, Portorreal returned home and was also tied up.
The suspects fled the scene with an undetermined amount of property, police said.
The mother was able to free herself and called police from a neighbor's home.
The victims sustained minor injuries and the child was unharmed.
At this time, Miami-Dade officials are looking for three men, two of them are in their 20s.
