MARGATE, Fla. – Police have arrested two men who they said robbed an AutoZone store in Margate on Thursday night.

According to a Margate police spokesperson, two armed men walked into the store at 6600 W. Atlantic Blvd. at about 8:45 p.m. and tied up the employees who were inside.

Police said the men robbed the store, but did not disclose what was taken. The manager of the store refused to disclose any information to Local 10 News as well.

Police said a perimeter was set up in the area shortly after the robbery. With the help of several law enforcement agencies, the suspects were tracked down and taken into custody.

No injuries were reported.

The case has been turned over to ATF. It is unclear whether this robbery is related to Monday night's AutoZone robbery at  801 State Road 7 in Plantation.

In that case, a masked man and woman held up the store at gunpoint. Police said the duo ordered the cashier and customers to the back of the store, where they were duct taped.

"You know, when I first saw the guy with the gun, my heart just dropped right there," a customer told Local 10 News.

He said the crooks made the manager open the safe and cash registers.

"It took about 20 minutes," he said. "Thank God they didn't execute us."

Police said the robbers left with a customer's wallet as well as the safe and cash register from the store. Police have not released the amount of money taken from that AutoZone either.

Detective Robert Rettig said the criminals should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about either crime is asked to call police.
