Mother, child injured in Plantation collision

Cause of collision under investigation

PLANTATION, Fla. – A mother and child were injured in a collision Thursday afternoon in Plantation.

The collision involving a PT Cruiser and sport utility vehicle occurred at Sunrise Boulevard and 108th Avenue about 1 p.m.

According to the Plantation Fire Department, the mother and child were taken to Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale. Their conditions were not immediately known.

The impact from the collision sent the PT Cruiser crashing into the Fox Run at Jacaranda subdivision sign.

Police are investigating the cause of the collision.
