The victim told Monroe County Sheriff's Office detectives that he was sleeping on his couch about 3 a.m. Thursday in Key Largo when two intruders entered through an unlocked door. He said they pointed a pistol at him, and one of the men tied his hands behind his back with zip ties.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Becky Herrin said the intruders took him from his apartment to his parents' house nearby, entering through a window. Once inside, the men used a Taser gun on the victim and ransacked the home, finding cash, four rifles and two shotguns.

At one point, one of the intruders told the other to "pop" the victim. He said he was afraid he was going to die.
