ISLAMORADA, Fla. – Deputies with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office worked with a Florida Keys Electric Coop crew to help rescue a cat that was stuck in a tree in Islamorada on Thursday.

Deputies said the cat's owner was "frantic," and said her cat had climbed to the top of a tree on Nautilus Drive and couldn't come down.

Two deputies spotted an FKEC crew in the neighborhood and asked them for help in getting the cat safely to the ground.

Crews used a bucket truck to rescue the animal and reunite it with its owner.
