Plantation police search for hit-and-run driver involved in fatal crash
Patrick Kallman, 31, struck by car while checking on girlfriend after crash
PLANTATION, Fla. – Plantation police continue to search for the driver of a vehicle who struck and killed a man after a crash in Plantation late last month.
Patrick Kallman, 31, and his girlfriend, Jennifer Jacon, 37, were killed July 30 after Kallman's truck struck a tree at the intersection of South Pine Island Road and Peters Road.
Jacon was ejected from the truck and died at the scene. Authorities said Kallman was struck by a second vehicle after he got out of his truck and was trying to check on his girlfriend.
Police described the car as a 1990s-2000s unknown make and model 4-door vehicle. The vehicle is light colored, possibly white or silver, and may have front-end and driver's-side mirror damage.
Anyone with information about the hit-and-run is asked to call Detective Robert Rettig at 954-797-2193 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
