Capote said the aide told the driver of the crashed vehicle to step to the side, and the aide was struck by the oncoming car.

According to Capote, the victim was thrown back against the parked vehicle, and the driver of the car that struck him, identified as Victor Menezes, never stopped.

The victim was taken to Kendall Regional Medical Center with multiple fractures to his leg and a laceration to his right hand.
