According to an arrest report, a woman left her purse in the kitchen and put her children to bed before going to sleep on Dec. 19.

When the woman woke up the next morning, she discovered that her purse was missing and the living room table had been moved.

Police said the woman's husband saw that the sliding door on the balcony had been pried open. They called police.

Detectives said Adrian Pina broke into the downstairs neighbor's backyard, climbed onto the aluminum patio roof and onto the victim's balcony.

They said he used a tool to pry open the balcony door and break into the home.

Authorities said Pina left with the victim's Michael Kors purse, which contained $40 in cash and the victim's driver's license and credit cards.

Surveillance video captured the suspected burglar using one of the stolen credit cards at a Chevron gas station in Miami.
