Teens range in age from 16 to 18

HIALEAH, Fla. – The Hialeah Police Department has arrested four teens in connection to a Tuesday carjacking.

Hialeah police spotted a suspicious vehicle that was reported stolen in a Jan. 2 armed carjacking in Miami-Dade County, Sgt. Carl Zogby said.

The pursuit ended in Miami Lakes after the vehicle crashed and the four occupants -- Daniel Placide, 18; Jorah Brooks, 17; Amos Leclerc, 17; and Jason Lopez, 16 -- bailed out of the vehicle, Zogby said.

Three of the teens were arrested immediately and Leclerc was apprehended later with the assistance of Miami-Dade police detectives.

Police were able to recover three firearms from the vehicle, as well as other stolen merchandise, Zogby said.

The teens were also connected to an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday morning at a CVS in Miami Lakes.
