11-year-old boy struck by vehicle in Hialeah

Boy may have sustained a head injury


HIALEAH, Fla. – An 11-year-old-boy was struck by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon in Hialeah, firefighters report. 

The boy was walking in the 5900 block of West 16th Avenue, when the incident took place. 

The child may have sustained a head injury and some abrasions to his legs, according to Hialeah Fire Rescue. 

The boy was alert and oriented when he was airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center.
