FBI searches for man who robbed Regions Bank in Hialeah

Man believed to be responsible for robbery in Pinecrest earlier this week

HIALEAH, Fla. – The FBI released a photo of a man who they believe robbed a Regions Bank branch Wednesday in Hialeah. 

FBI Special Agent Michael Leverock said the robbery took place about 1:45 p.m. in the 2800 block of West Fourth Avenue.

Leverock said the robber entered the bank and demanded money from an employee before fleeing the area, the FBI said in a media release. 

Customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery, but none of them were hurt during the incident.  

The amount of money taken has not been released. 

Investigators believe the man responsible for the robbery may have robbed a BB&T branch in Pinecrest earlier in the week.
