Homeless man arrested in fatal sword attack in Lake Worth

George Livingston faces murder charge

LAKE WORTH, Fla. – A homeless man was killed on Saturday in Lake Worth in a violent attack with a sword, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies said they found the victim dead about 4 p.m. near the train tracks at North Seventh Avenue. They also found a 3-foot sword near the victim, who was not identified.  

After conducting interviews, deputies arrested another homeless man, George Livingston, on a charge of second-degree murder.

Deputies said Livingston had a fight with the victim before the attack.

The 3-foot sword was found on the ground near the body.

Livingston is currently being held without bond in the main Palm Beach County jail.
