VIDEO: Teenager pulls gun on crowd on Florida beach, runs into ocean, deputies say

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A 16-year-old is facing several charges after deputies say he pulled a gun on a crowd on a Florida beach.

Volusia County sheriff’s deputies confronted Felixander Solis-Guzman, 16, on Thursday afternoon after they saw a fight on the sand on New Smyrna Beach.

Deputies said they heard a crowd yelling “he has a gun” and saw Solis-Guzman run into the water with a gun. He later threw the gun and a bag he was carrying into the water.

Solis-Guzman eventually complied with deputy commands to get out of the water with his hands up.

Deputies said they found 20 plastic baggies of marijuana in his bag.

The teen was arrested and faces several charges including possession of a firearm by a person under 18, resisting an officer and sale of marijuana.

Solis-Guzman was also arrested on charges out of Orange County, including robbery with a firearm and violation of his probation.

He was taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
