Forklift used to remove ATM from Hialeah bank drive-thru

ATM removed from Bank of America branch later found with all of its contents

HIALEAH, Fla. – Police are investigating after a forklift was used to remove an ATM from a bank in Hialeah.

The theft occurred about 3 a.m. at the Bank of America branch on East Ninth Street.

Hialeah police said someone used a forklift from a construction site across from the bank to lift the ATM from its foundation in the drive-thru.

Sgt. Carl Zogby said the ATM was found a short time later, along with all of its contents.

Police didn't say where the ATM was found or if they have any suspects.
