DeSantis announces new COVID-19 case in Florida during press conference at State Capitol

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida Governor Ron DeSantis held a press conference at the Florida State Capitol to discuss growing coronavirus concerns in the state.

DeSantis declared a state of emergency Monday as concerns mount over the COVID-19 virus.

The governor also announced a new case of coronavirus in the state.

The latest patient is a 60-year-old woman in Volusia County.

There are now 18 cases in Florida, including three in Broward County.
