Reward offered as cops seek to ID suspects in double shooting at Plantation Walgreens

PLANTATION, Fla. ā€“ Authorities released two surveillance photos Friday of suspects they said were involved in a double shooting outside of a Plantation Walgreens late last month.

The shooting happened just before 1:30 p.m. on June 23 at the drugstore chainā€™s location at 3895 W. Broward Blvd., near State Road 7.

According to a flyer released by Broward Crime Stoppers, the two men had gone into the store and were seen buying multiple gift cards ā€œconsistent with fraudulent transactions.ā€

After the two walked out, a fight broke out in the parking lot and one of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot the two victims before fleeing, authorities said.

Following the shooting, a police spokesperson said the groups appeared to have known each other.

According to Plantation Fire Rescue, the victims, both men, were shot in the back and ran into the store after being wounded. Medics took them to Broward Health Medical Center.

A fire rescue spokesperson said both victims were ā€œawake and alertā€ following the shooting. Police said one of the victims suffered serious injuries, while the other suffered minor injuries.

Broward Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for anyone with information leading to arrests in the shooting.
