CUTLER BAY, Fla. – A death investigation is underway in Miami-Dade County after firefighters extinguished a car engulfed in flames only to find a body inside.
First responders arrived at the scene located around Old Cutler Road and Southwest 92nd Avenue in Curler Bay at approximately 1:45 p.m. Thursday.
Authorities said a man was detained shortly after the fire was put out.
That man was taken to the police station for questioning, officers said, adding that detectives were interviewing him to determine his involvement, if any, in the fire.
No arrests have been announced, and the person who was discovered in the vehicle has not been identified.
