Police officers respond to shooting near to ‘suspicious’ fire in Lauderhill

LAUDERHILL, Fla. – There was a shooting on Friday afternoon at an apartment complex in Lauderhill where there was a fire. Several teens ran away. One of them was wielding a gun as he fled.

Lauderhill police officers responded to the Cypress Grove complex where firefighters reported there was a suspicious building fire earlier in the day at 1850 NW 42 Terrace.

Parys Thomas, of the Lauderhill Police Department, reported police officers did not find any victims or suspects after the shooting. The fire was under investigation as arson.

Police officers asked anyone with information about the cases to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
