Deputies find loaded guns, drugs on Deerfield Beach High School campus

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – A large police presence responded to a Broward County high school on Monday afternoon.

Sky 10 was above Deerfield Beach Senior High School, located at 910 Buck Pride Way, at around 2:50 p.m. and observed several marked police vehicles in the school’s parking lot.

At one point, deputies could be seen searching a white sedan.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the school at around 2 p.m. and found two loaded guns, several loaded magazines and what was described as illegal narcotics inside the car.

A parent of a student at the school told Local 10 News that the school had been placed on lockdown earlier in the day.

Deputies said two students have been detained as part of their active investigation.
